Sirovasthy is a very effective ayurvedic treatment for the Central nervous system that involves warm herbal oils being placed on the head for a specific period of time. The oil is held in place using a bandage tied around the patient's head, and an open-headed cap is secured. Then, medicated oil is warmed to body temperature, poured into this cap, and allowed to soak into the scalp.
This oil is retained on the head for around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on an individual’s body type. During this treatment, the healing properties of the medicated oil act on the brain and tune the central and autonomous nervous systems. The patient’s brain, peripheral nerves, and spinal cord receive the curative effects of this oil. Consequently, several nerve disorders get restored, and the mind gets relief from stress. The complete duration of the treatment varies as per the patient’s condition and type of disease.
